The push for renewable energy sources has birthed a new problem: where will we store all that energy? What happens if the sun isn't up, there is no wind, but the city still needs power? This new technology just might be the answer: gravity batteries.

China is in the process of creating possibly the biggest infrastructure project ever attempted. The South to North Water Transfer Project is designed to move water from rivers in the wet south of the country, to dry, densely populated areas in the north. However, the project has widely been criticised, not only for displacing large amount of people, but also for tapping into waterways that service other countries in South-East Asia, and India.
